Negotiation and procurement

The county councils act jointly to develop terms, including pricing, for drugs subject to national managed introduction. The TLV is an important partner in this work both concerning prescribed medicines as well as drugs purchased by county councils for hospital care.

Proxy to represent the county council

All county councils have one representative commissioned to represent the county council in negotiations together with the TLV and pharmaceutical company concerning prescribed medicines subject to reimbursement decision.
In certain cases, the county councils carry out joint procurements of new medicines used in hospital care.
